It’s Finally Here!

The UUWF Affiliate Program
A powerful way for your UU congregation or gender justice group to take meaningful action in community with the Unitarian Universalist Women’s Federation and UUWF Affiliates nationwide.
What is the UUWF Affiliate Program?
You asked, and now it’s here. The Unitarian Universalist Women’s Federation Affiliate Program is designed to help your UU congregation or group gain momentum and take your gender justice work to the next level. We’ll bring you ways to connect, learn, and act with your community, in your community.
We’re so excited to get started!

What’s In It For You?
As an Affiliate, you’ll get:
- A covenantal relationship with the UUWF as co-conspirators and allies in the movement for collective liberation
- Biannual Affiliate gender justice subscription boxes containing robust ideas, talking points, sermons and community commentary, sample newsletter inserts, action project suggestions and materials, reading, books, handouts, and more — all focused on connecting, learning, and acting to advance gender justice in your community
- Curricula that can be offered in congregational or group settings, with special train-the-trainer opportunities to equip Affiliates to lead the curricula
- Quarterly check-ins and events to gather virtually with other Affiliates to exchange ideas, offer mutual support, and swap resources
- Personal consultation with UUWF staff to help plan strategy, develop projects or programs, generate ideas, and solve challenges in your Affiliate congregation or group

Our Guiding Principles
These are the principles that inform the UUWF Affiliate covenant:
We believe that charity is a giving response to an immediate individual need, while justice addresses systems of oppression and root causes of injustice and inequity. Our work may include charity, but our long-term and tireless goal is justice.
We believe that trans women are women and trans men are men, without exception. We believe that gender-expansive, nonbinary, or two-spirit people should be welcomed and included. Affiliates can include all genders.
We believe that intersectional feminism requires us to recognize misogynoir and other forms of misogynistic racism, and the compounding impact that occurs when people hold multiple oppressed identities.
We believe that white supremacist patriarchy is embedded in all of our social systems, and we must disrupt, unlearn, and heal its harms in order to be liberated.
We believe that justice work requires courage, love, and joy.
